Dr Benson's Practice is focused on Aesthetic Restorative and Bite Related Dentistry. He a Sustaining Member in the American Academy Of Cosmetic Dentistry, the founder of the Finger Lakes Institute for Advanced Dental Learning and the Director for the San Francisco Institute for Advanced Dental Learning, founded by Dr Jeff Morley. Dr. Benson has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education and hands-on courses from experts in the areas of aesthetic dentistry, dental implants, and bite related dentistry from places such as the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY, the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine’s Esthetic Dentistry Continuum, the Chicago Center for Esthetic Excellence, The University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), The Fahl Center for Oral Facial Art in Curitiba, Brazil, and the San Francisco Institute for Advanced Dental Learning.
Since 1999, Dr. Benson has been training with Dr. Jeff Morley (http://www.jeffmorley.com) and Dr Jimmy Eubank (http://www.therightfitdentist.com). Dr. Benson has received advanced training in the areas of diagnosis and treatment of bite stress, cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, age-reversing dentistry, Orthodontics (including Invisalign®), and dental implant treatment planning and restoration. He has completed hundreds of cases ranging from "one tooth problems" to "full mouth smile makeovers." Dr Benson has served as course director, course coordinator, and course instructor for numerous hands-on courses for dentist, staff, and lab technicians looking to improve their skills.

In his spare time, Dr. Benson has been involved with girls Junior Olympic Fastpitch Softball, coaching teams to state, regional, and national championships. He has worked with many success-driven Division 1 head coaches, including Mike Candrea, the head coach of the 2004 and 2008 Women’s Olympic National team and Sue Enquist, the former head coach of the ten time Division 1 national champion UCLA Bruins.
Dr. Benson is an avid martial arts student and holds the rank of second degree black belt in ITF Tae Kwon Do and is a former New York State middle weight fighting champion. He currently is studying Yoga and has received certification in Practice and Instruction.
His hobbies include music, attending Broadway shows, traveling, skiing, hiking, golf, and endurance training. He also enjoys wine-tasting and gourmet cooking.
He is a very proud father of one daughter!
